The story incorporates flashbacks rather effectively so you find out what happened leading up to the genocide and then you see how Deogratias deals with the aftermath. Through a blend of the past and present, this narrative depicts, if not for the Rwandan genocide’s toll, not an incredibly unique coming of rawnda process for a young man in many parts of Africa.

The book depgratias published in French in by Dupuis and has appeared in a number of different translations.
