Another great debut to bbody to the list! Jay is the perfect best friend and later on the perfect boyfriend, probably too perfect to be realistic.

See that guy’s pissed off face and the dude in the back’s middle finger? I t was just a doll I am really looking forward to what happens to her in the next book because Derting has left me desperate for more. Violet has the ability to find dead things, especially things or people that have been murdered. The scenes with him and Violet were sweet, but he didn’t do anything to impress me.

Her books were published before yours funder Things are further complicated by Violet’s growing feelings for Jay, who over the summer has become quite a hunk.

So, upon reading this, I had bought this book along with its sequel about 3 months ago. I can give bkdy some leeway here because not everyone shares my obsession with serial killers. If you’re going to write a book that has plot points that lean on things like criminal behavior maybe you should know as much as a novice possibly can. I klmberly everybody should try this book, it has everything imo, murder, mystery, love, and snark what more could you ask for??

I kept getting drawn out of the book by how ridiculously unrealistic so much of it was. And then he kissed her. Since reading about thr killers is one of my favorite pastimes no cruel jokes about my tormented psyche here, pleaseI knew before I even began reading the story that it was probably going to be great.

I think that plays a big part in my annoyance most of the time. The glimpses we get into the killer’s mind didn’t really do anything for me either.

Dec 18, Amy Plum added it. This is the first book I read on my Kindle and I enjoyed it immensely. This one didn’t leave a very fuzzy wuzzy feeling in my stomach. Unfortunately, there are sooo many reasons I disliked this book, that I don’t even know where to begin: Wow, this book did a number on me. Violet just doesn’t findrr any initiative with him.

I’ve been in two different funks lately-either the books I am reading are SO good that those following don’t stand a chance or I’ve been reading the same old same old and a change of pace is welcoming. The cheap trick of having Violet and the victim act alike gets old, and quickly. The plot was engaging Whether it is a mouse that her cat killed, or the girl she found buried in the woods when she was little, the murdered and the things that killed them are tainted by echoes, which can be sounds, sights, and smells.

Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes the dead leave behind in the world. V iolet can kimbefly the echoes of those who’ve been murdered–and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Even more annoying, I have to admit that I don’t think this trick belongs in a YA novel. Violet’s guy got on her nerves and made a very aggressive dertinh at her when he was drunk.

Violet has never considered her morbid ability to be a gift, but when a serial killer begins terrorizing her small town, Violet realizes she may be the only person who can stop him. If she wasn’t such a bitch I might have felt sorry for [using: V iolet kept her morbid ability to sense dead bodies a secret from everyone except her family and her childhood-best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Jay Heaton.
