My friends will know why I was especially intrigued by a story narrated by a character who is a foreigner living in Colombia, working with people displaced by the war. A way station for refugees from violence is the setting for an intense love triangle in which an uprooted and wandering people lead the reader to experience the collective drama of forced relocation.
